Marsian® is a brand developed by 40+ year veteran performance artist and activist Shelly Mars in concert with a team of her closest longtime collaborators. Shelly developed a daily silkscreening practice in 2010, giving in to her fetish for dressing and styling the fashionistas of NYC, SF, and LA. She produces garments that communicate ideas and feelings that come from the secret realm just beneath our egos.

Her performance practice channels archetypal characters, from animals to humans of all gender expressions and sexualities, that reflect uncomfortable truths about ourselves that we secretly crave.
